Blocker Outdoors’ new Shield Reliant Pant added to popular and expanding pant collection.
Recent releases in Blocker’s hunting pants category have been fully embraced, led by the Shield Verse Pant, Shield Verse Pro Pant, and Shield Field Brush Pant. With all those options, you’d think pants were covered in spades. Well, almost.
New for fall 2024, Blocker – wearer of the pants in the hunting family – adds an even lighter weight model, the Shield Reliant Pant.
“The poly spandex material is super stretchy,” immediately points out Blocker Outdoors Marketing Director and whitetail specialist, Steve Allie. “The double weave makes the fabric exceptionally durable as well.” Moreover, the material actively cools, which is essential to lightweight, early season hunting pants.
Cooling is supplemented by a pair of side seam zip vents. “It’s really a hallmark feature of the Shield Reliant Pant,” said Steve. “The fabric actively cools, but when temps start soaring or you’re huffing and puffing in the field, you’ll seriously appreciate the added ventilation.”
Blocker’s new Shield Reliant Pant offers exceptional fit and locomotion as well. “We designed it to fit like comfortable, everyday pants, with even a flair of athleticism,” said Steve. “Using the four-way stretch poly spandex allowed us focus on a perfect fit without any restriction of movement.” To that, the Shield Reliant Pant’s articulated knees fully cater to active walking and kneeling in the field.
Despite the exceptional fit, Steve says there’s adequate space for a base layer to extend the pants utility into midseason.
Signature to Blocker gear, the Shield Reliant Pant employs an S3® anti-microbial finish to prevent odors. The famed S3® treatment’s silver ions bind to and penetrate the surface of odor-causing bacteria on contact. Silver ions disrupt the microbe’s DNA, preventing the formation of odor and keeping your pants fresher, longer. To that, the Shield Reliant Pant received a special wicking treatment to manage moisture.
Lastly, there’s no shortage of spots to stash your stuff with the Shield Reliant Pant’s six pocket design – two side, two rear, and a pair of cargo pockets.
The Shield Reliant Pant is available in 30R to 44R waist sizes and Realtree Excape, Realtree APX, and the earthy solid tone Flint.
